Amsterdam Tram 12 Map – GVB Lijn 12 Lijnkaart – 2019
Tram 12 follows the same route as Tram 2, but heads to the Museumplein and Concertgebouw to save the short walk from Van Baerlestraat stop on Tram 2. It is very similar to Tram 2 for the tourist as Tram 2 follows the same path from Centraal Station to the Museums. Tram 2 does not stop at Museumplein or Concertgebouw, but stops at a station very close to it (Van Baerlestraat).
Sites: Centraal Station, Dam Square, Palace, Spui, Flower Market, Leidseplein, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Museumplein & Concertgebouw.
Comments: Very similar to Tram 2. Head out to the suburbs after the Museumplein station.
Dutch Food To Try: Bitterballen – Bitterballen are delicious small fried nuggets filled with a hearty roux. Think of a the inside of a pot pie, imagine it thicker, make it cold, roll it into a ball a little smaller than a golf ball, bread it, and fry it up. That is essentially what bitterballen are. Typically served with a spicy ground mustard for dipping.
