Do I need to pre-purchase a ticket for the bike tours or can I just show up?

If you really want to join the bike tour on a certain day, then we highly recommend that you book in advance as the tours often gets sold out.  We do have a limited number of Spartamets, and only a couple tandem and box bikes.
